AI use and limitations

What the AI does

Aplara uses AI models to help you with CVs, job applications, cover letters and interview preparation, based on the experience you record. When you ask for something, the relevant parts of your profile, experience, CV text and the job description are sent to OpenAI to produce a draft.

You stay in control

  • Everything Aplara produces is a draft. You are responsible for reviewing, editing and deciding whether to send it.
  • Outputs can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Check every fact before you use it.
  • Aplara does not guarantee interviews, job offers, scores or any recruiter's decision.
  • Aplara is not legal, immigration, financial or professional recruitment advice.

Honesty

You must not use Aplara to invent qualifications, employers, dates, experience or achievements. Aplara's Truth Engine checks generated claims against the evidence you have recorded and is designed not to add facts you have not given it. These controls reduce the risk of inaccurate claims, but they cannot guarantee that every output is correct, and they cannot verify that your own evidence is true.

What not to enter

Only enter what you need for your application. Avoid unnecessary sensitive information, such as health, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, political views, trade-union membership, criminal records, immigration documents, or other people's personal data. If you do include sensitive details, we ask for your consent first; see section 4 of our Privacy notice.

Your content and AI training

We send your content to OpenAI only to produce what you asked for. Under our agreement, OpenAI doesn't use it to train its models. It may keep requests for up to 30 days to detect abuse, then deletes them.
